Dr. Anjali Morris Education and Health Foundation is actively engaged in conducting assessments, providing intervention to students with learning disabilities, training professionals and doing research for over a decade.

On January 3, 2024, the foundation organized a one-day seminar at Ganesh Auditorium, New English School, Tilak Road, Pune, on the topic “Understanding Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and other Disabilities.” The seminar was conducted for principals, special educators, teachers, and counselors from district-level special schools. The chief guest for the program was Mrs. Malathi Kalmadi (Board of Directors, AMF and Managing Trustee of Kaveri Group of Institutes) and Mrs. Swapana Damerla (COO, AMF) also addressed the audience about the work done by AMF. The seminar was graced by other dignitaries, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur (Deputy National Lead- CSR, Bajaj Finserv) and Mr. Akshay Chaudhari (CSR Team, Bajaj Finserv).

The chief guests shared their valuable experiences and insights and offered guidance to the participants. Ms. Medha Pathak (Senior Training & Technical Manager) talked about differences between Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD and  Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and Locomotor. Other guest speakers included Dr. Suneel Godbole and Dr. Ashwini Godbole who spoke on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional well- being of specially-abled students and Mental Health of teachers respectively.

Team AMF, also performed a short skit depicting the struggles of a student with SLD and how parents, teachers and counselors can understand the student’s needs and help in a better way.
