I have been taking intervention sessions since September 2019. It has helped me a lot in my reading, not only class books, but also to read outside books as well. I enjoy all extra-curricular activities like art, drawing and those activities are designed in a fun way. I am glad to be a part of the Morris family because it has made me a better person.

Nandita Dasari, Student

Our association with Anjali Morris Foundation has been incredible and we really appreciate all teachers for their tremendous efforts and their systematic approach to resolve all concern areas. Our son was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder and he was facing difficulties in academics and following instruction. Ms. Manali conducted regular Intervention sessions and her guidance and continuous efforts resolved all his difficulties within a few months. Our son is now naturally inclined towards reading, writing & solving math. He is confident to perform well in daily routine tasks. We are thankful to Morris Foundation and really honor their great works towards children & for the community as a whole.

Technically Assisted Projects

Tomoae School has started the project ‘Hope-Let’s’ Come to together’ from 2014 to help students who need special help. The association with Dr. Anjali Morris Foundation began in 2017 bringing a ray of hope. They helped our teachers with the process to identify students with special needs. The collaboration with AMF brings awareness among the parents too. The training programme for the core team members made our teachers expert for the identification, screening and helping them. The COVID pandemic brought many changes in the learning process but the AMF team helped us during this crucial phase too. The online support and the online training programmes helped us revise everything which was taught earlier. AMF’s TAP project was the opportunity for the core members to enhance their skill by presenting the topics. The sessions were well organized and helped us improve ourselves, besides working as a refresher course for us. I extend my gratitude to all the team members of AMF for their consistent help and support. Special thanks to our mentor Ms. Mugdha and Ms. Medha Mam for their guidance and rendered help. Tomoae team will always be grateful to team AMF for their constant support. Expecting the same in the future too. Thank you.

Ms. Vaishali Awale, Principal, Tomoae School, Amravati

We have collaborated with Anjali Morris Foundation (AMF) for the last four years. Vatsalya mother and child care runs a child development center which has children coming from various schools with learning difficulties. After the collaboration with Anjali Morris Foundation (AMF), our team has been more confident in the diagnosis and management of students. Also, they have been very well trained in conducting online intervention for the students. As a result, our center was able to help students during the lockdown also. The study skills workshop gave us a good insight about the methods for studying. We shared these methods and tips with our students, which helped them plan their study goals. AMF’s TAP is a beautiful initiative to empower teachers to help students with learning Difficulties. The team at Vatsalya are very happy and blessed to be a part of AMF and would like to be a part of them in their journey in empowering teachers and students. All the best and keep up the great work.

Training: Workshops, Skill Enhancement Programs and Certificate Courses

During the random visit to 50-60 schools by DIET Ratnagiri officials, they observed a significant result of training conducted by AMF on SLD. 29 special educators and resource persons of DIET Ratnagiri are now confidently and effectively guiding mainstream teachers and parents. They refer to the video material for conducting departmental examinations, mentoring sessions, module development, course work, etc. Based on the webinar series, some teachers have made changes in their teaching and are guiding the children who have problems in reading, writing, and arithmetic. They are also making changes in the methodology (in the form of success stories-best practices). 10 schools in the district are creating such success stories.

Dr. Sandeep Pawar, Head of Equality Department (DIET Ratnagiri)

I attended the SEP Program conducted by Dr. Anjali Morris Foundation. The program was highly useful. Information shared during the Speech & audiologist session was quite informative and helpful. Education counsellors shared tips and strategies on classroom accommodations which were useful and effective. Assessment technique to identify SLD and ADHD was equally useful.

Ms. Saee Kale, Participant, Skill Enhancement Program

I have found out about the Certificate Course for Skill Development in Special Education development course through internet search. Being a teacher for the last 20 years I have come across many students who need special attention but was unable to give them proper guidance due to my limited knowledge in this field. By completing this course, today I am well equipped to guide them. This course helped me accept children with their strengths and weaknesses. Thank you to all the qualified teachers and staff who always guided and mentored us.

Ms. Reena Soparkar, Participant, Certificate Course

Recently I completed the “Certificate course for Skill development in Special Education” from Anjali Morris foundation and Sunderji Global Academia. The content of the course was really good and innovative. Some of the highlights are developments of the brain from a child to adult, different strategies on how to teach reading and writing, thinking routines, different kinds of therapies available for children with special needs. I would like to thank all teachers for patiently clearing our doubts and guiding us throughout this course. A special thanks to Daya ma’am for providing support throughout the course.
