Parents

Parents play a vital role in supporting their children.

In our workshops, experienced Resource Teachers present theory and case studies and demonstrate specific skills and strategies parents can use to employ the child’s identified strengths and to compensate for weaknesses.

Parent participation in group discussions and role-play helps them to understand their children’s learning problems (in handwriting, spelling, reading, and math) and learn strategies and skills to support their learning.

AMF is the first accredited Global Partner in India of the International Dyslexia Association.

They will understand the need for early identification through a psycho-educational assessment and for giving children the help they need through appropriate, evidence-based intervention.

They will also learn about school boards’ accommodations for students with Specific Learning Disabilities and how they can advocate for policies to address their needs.
