Basic training – For Technically Assisted Projects

Technically Assisted Program (TAP)
AMF helps selected schools and educational organizations set up their own Resource Centres. We train a core team of teachers to screen children for learning disabilities, conduct evidence-based assessments, deliver outcomes-based interventions individually or in small groups, and monitor their progress. We provide intensive supervision and mentoring to the core team for three to five years following which the schools run their Resource Centres independently.

To initiate the new academic year 2023-2024 the core team teachers from different TAPs were trained for the entire process followed at AMF. As AMF is trying to expand its reach in all over Maharashtra in relation to that currently AMF has started working with an organization from Chatrapati Sabhajinagar. The organization would be associated as under TAP with us.

Overall, 3 core team teachers have attended the training course, which was a mixed group from 2 organizations (KHS, Pune and Periwinkle Chatrapati Sabhajinagar).

The training held at AMF’s office for 7 days in the month of June 2023, which covered various topics like overview of Specific learning disabilities (SLD), screening process, assessment overview, different strategies to help students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia etc. Along with this the USP of special education the Individualized Education Plan (IEP), lesson plan and progress monitoring these topics were also focused on.

The training was a combination of theory and practical both, so that the core team teachers can represent the same at their school. All the participants have shared that the training was a great learning experience and they are looking to implement their knowledge in their school.

This training will further be followed up with the mentoring visits by AMF to keep a track on the processes followed correctly.
