The government of Maharashtra is gearing up to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, from the academic year June 2024. The academic curriculum is ready for the first five years of schooling (3+2 pre primary and class 1 & 2 )
The Maharashtra State Council of Education Research and Training (MSCERT) called a meeting of experts from the field of education to decide the curriculum before the implementation of the new National Education Policy.
Dr. Anjali Morris Education and Health Foundation was one of the invitees. AMF is proud to be a part of this important process. Ms. Medha Pathak, Senior Training & Technical Officer represented AMF. Her valuable inputs have been added to the draft policy.
Her recommendations were to ensure early identification of 3 disabilities namely.
Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
